Remedies, from the texts

Where a planet is weak in your chart, your reading names the remedy the classical texts give for it, with the verse it comes from.

  • Mantra japa

The planet’s mantra, repeated the number of times the text sets: 7,000 for the Sun, 23,000 for Saturn.

    Bṛhat Parāśara Horāśāstra 87.17–18

  • Worship graha śānti

Worship of the planet that is badly placed for you, with its own flowers, food and gift.

    Bṛhat Parāśara Horāśāstra 87.23

  • Gemstone ratna

The planet’s stone, and the less costly substitute the text gives for anyone who cannot afford it.

    Muhūrta Cintāmaṇi, Gocara 10–11
